Useful Information

General Information

This section identifies principal areas of concern and seeks to address many of the usual queries our customers may have. If however you have a question which is not addressed here, please contact us.

ROUTE BOOK

Each car will be provided with a detailed route book, which will contain:

  • An overview of your holiday
  • An itinerary
  • Contact Numbers and addresses for the Hotels, Rendezvous Points and Places of Interest
  • Advice on what to bring with you
  • Your route laid out in an easy to read day by day format
  • Brief maps
  • Contact details for Dettaglio personnel participating in your holiday
  • Emergency Contact Numbers

SUPPORT VEHICLES

Each tour will be accompanied by a support vehicle and (in certain cases) a lead vehicle. The support vehicle will be able to accommodate:

  • one medium sized soft bag (no suitcases!) per car
  • 2 crash helmets per car (please provide your own carry case)
  • some spare parts - this will be strictly on a first come first served basis

The lead vehicle will invariably set out well before the other cars and will:

  • report back any traffic problems or inclement weather to the Dettaglio support vehicle
  • act as principal contact with hotel accommodation to prepare for guest arrival
  • be able to accommodate passengers upon request

CAR VALETING

On each tour we will take with us a full exterior valeting kit comprising SWISSOL products. Where facilities permit, we can clean, prepare and polish customers cars. If you prefer to care for your own car, then you are advised to bring your own products.

CHILDREN

Our holidays are not appropriate for young children for obvious reasons. If you wish to bring a child with you who is under the age of 16, please contact us before booking your holiday.

EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBERS

Contact numbers for fire, police and ambulance will be included in your Route Book, as well as the numbers for the AA, RAC and EuropAssist recovery services active in Europe.
